🦎 How to reverse-engineer a winning sales funnel and make more $$ with AI

Quickly copy the playbook of the most successful funnels

Read Time: 8.0 minutes

Creators,

Imagine you're a content creator with a newfound audience after several videos went viral.

So, you figure out an offer to sell to your audience that helps them solve a specific problem.

You spend months developing your flagship program.

The course is better than Dean Grazioi’s flashy 59 steps to success (conveniently priced at $59).

You launch it with high hopes…

…expecting students to rush to your program like shoppers running into stores to save on a flat-screen TV they didn’t need on Black Friday.

You've tweaked the pricing, played with the bonus stack, placed more testimonials from your beta students, and rewritten the sales page more times than you can count.

But despite all your efforts, your conversion rates are still stuck in the "meh" zone. Nothing but crickets. And you go, “WTF, this is the greatest offer ever!”

Barely anyone buys your product.

Disappointed, you wonder what went wrong.

You know it wasn’t the product but more than likely the marketing framework and copy on the sales funnel.

My fellow content creator and solopreneur…

…I’ve written this latest newsletter, so you never need to experience the above.

In 4 minutes (after reading this), you’ll be able to:

  • Understand how world-class sales funnels work

  • Know the world’s greatest plumber

  • Let GPT Vision reverse-engineer famous funnels with actionable tips for you

From Zero to Hero: How I’m Growing My Followers With An Automated AI Process

As someone who's built a thriving online business from scratch, I know firsthand how game-changing the right strategies can be.

After completely burning out on creating content, I was determined to build a more automated process to double my content output while doing half as much work.

That's when I discovered the power of AI for content creation.

By leveraging AI tools and frameworks, I was able to:

  • Create a week's worth of high-quality content in under 2 hours

  • Grow my audience on autopilot while capturing and following up with leads automatically

  • Automate and generate content that authentically resonates with my ideal audience, keeping them returning for more

My recent results were so encouraging that I knew I had to share my strategies with fellow content creators and entrepreneurs in a more community-based method.

And so, The AI Escape Community was born.

Why Sales Funnels Matter

This is an example of a sales funnel:

Even this is a sales funnel:

The best sales funnels guide your ideal customers through a journey that takes them from completely unaware of your brand to customers who cannot swipe their credit cards fast enough to purchase.

That’s why anyone who sells anything needs a funnel.

I said funnel, NOT a Stan Store!

Simplified, my solopreneur funnel consists of 5 stages: (copy this, steal this with a screen grab, whatever you need to do to remember!)

  1. Attracting your ideal followers/customers with social media content

  2. Providing value that establishes authority to pique curiosity with actionable content

  3. Helping people assess if you're a good fit by getting them on your newsletter list (always focus on building your list)

  4. Making the sale by optimizing your offer and sales page

  5. Getting return business by building great products, focusing on fulfillment/support, & not being a douche (lol)

The problem?

Most funnels have bigger leaks than the Titanic. 🛳️

Leaks are holes in your marketing and sales strategy that lose customers and give you đź’© conversions.

If you don’t fix these leaks, it doesn’t matter how many leads you get…

…you’ll be stuck at the same monthly income.

You need a plumber to fix your pipe.

“The best way to figure out how to sell [your product] is to look at somebody else who's selling something similar.

Look at their sales funnel and funnel hack it. Look at it, map out what it looks like, and now you know what you need to build [to make money].”

Russell Brunson

Why Russell Brunson Is The World’s Greatest Plumber

Russel Brunson is a masterful plumber - he’s even written multiple books on sales funnels.

The process he repeats over and over again throughout his series of books for fixing the pipe:

Funnel hacking.

=

Reverse-engineering working funnels for other successful entrepreneurs and brands, then applying those lessons to improve your funnel.

How to funnel hack:

Look at any successful creator or entrepreneur that shares your niche (for example, Dan Koe)

Go to their website

Note how they are selling you their product(s) - then reverse engineer it yourself.

(only that this takes 1 hr, lol)

Just kidding.

You wouldn’t be subbed to The Creator Report if I didn’t show you a 10X faster way to funnel hack… using AI:

How to use the “Funnel Hacking Fynn” prompt to reverse-engineer famous funnels

Note: this prompt uses GPT Vision, a feature currently only available for GPT 4 users

“Funnel Hacking Fynn” analyses screenshots of other peoples’ funnels into actionable lessons for you (so you can improve your page in minutes):

Check out the GoFullPage Chrome extension to grab screenshots of the entire page and give them to ChatGPT.

Here’s the prompt (guide below):

I want you to become "FunnelHacking Fynn", a digital version of Russel Brunson, the expert funnel hacker.

Your job is to analyse and reverse-engineer other peoples' funnels into actionable lessons I can use to improve my own.

For context, [GIVE CONTEXT ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS]

I'm selling [EXPLAIN YOUR PRODUCT]

Please analyse the sales funnel images attached and hypothesize around why the funnel is structured the way it is, what makes it effective, and what I can implement for my own product from it.

Also make sure to point out details that an untrained human / beginner wouldn't notice, such as how the use of language primes people, what is NOT on the landing page, which information the page is gathering, and the strategy behind that.

HOW TO USE THE “FUNNEL HACKING FYNN” PROMPT:

  1. Fill in the [INSERT CONTEXT] placeholder with context about yourself and who you are.

  2. Fill in the [EXPLAIN YOUR PRODUCT] placeholder with context about your product and what it does.

    Example:

I'm selling the AI Escape, a course about how online entrepreneurs can utilize Avatars to generate traffic and build their first online course 10X faster and easier with AI

  3. Screenshot and insert the funnel you want to reverse-engineer. It can be a Twitter creator’s landing page, a campaign from your favorite brands, or anything else.

    Example:

Here’s the advice it gave me based on JK Molina’s landing page:
